Springing Ahead In The Good Life
Clocks are reset after a good rain, and the garden holds so much color and promise. Looking forward to more rain and flowers tomorrow. Only one more week to enjoy Santa Cruz, CA Spring before we jet off to Germany and more book signing adventures. Our new fence sets off the rich purple color of the hyacinths, frilly daffodils dancing in the breeze, apple trees and honeysuckle bushes filled with buds ready to burst. Primoses, ranunculus, pansies and poppies showing off their dresses of many colors.
I have been watching Tony’ choices. The Phantom of the Opera amongst many other programs like The Walking Dead and Spartacus. What a contrast to my all time favorite, Dangerous Beauty, a sensuous feast for the eyes, story of a courageous courtesan in the 17th century and The Help. Remember: You are kind. You are smart. You are important.
What Do Humans Need?
To be happy. To do no harm. To think fresh in each moment. Remember the movie Bambi when Thumper’s mom tells him, “If you can’t say anything nice, don’t say anything at all.” I was reminded of this when I found this colorful post this morning;
before you speak
T=Is it true?
H=Is it helpful?
I=Is it Inspiring?
N=Is it necessary?
K=Is it kind?
