Best in the West!

My Honey is the Best in the West!

Tony is a great creative cook. Tonight, he had this amazing chicken soup with onion, chicken broth, a couple of zucchini fresh from the garden, fresh ginger and two big bunches of fresh watercress. I served mine over organic Farro Perlato from Italy. Farro is also, known as Emmer Wheat or  Spelt even though it looks like Bulgar. Similar to rice it is cooked, by adding 1 cup of Farro to 3 cups of boiling water for 25-30 minutes. It has 5 grams of protein and is very rich in fiber, 3 grams in a quarter cup serving. Farro was the standard ration of the Roman Legions and was often, ground and made into  a mush, like polenta. French farmers brought the resurgence of the health conscious fancy dining into popularity for healthy dishes and hearty soups.

Girlfriends and Coworkers

I had a lovely time with a few girlfriends after work, tonight before dinner, sharing about my great day at work. A coworker sent me a beautiful slide show with words of wisdom, what a great way to end the day. I enjoyed being well listened to by manager, when I shared a couple of suggestions. Then there was a lovely 90 year old, who had been an entertainer for about 15 years before she settled down, at age thirty and got married. She told me some very cherished memories, and I felt so fortunate. I look forward to the day that I can be completely flexible and choose to spend as much time, as I desire, to listen and document someone’s story. Occasionally, I think of writing my own story. How about you-do you think of writing your own story?

Gina Alexander Handbags

How exciting! Today, after many weeks, all of the Gina Alexander Handbags I ordered arrived. In August, a couple of them will go all the way to Germany with Tony and I. It will be fun to photograph and put them on the “Want Your Pets or Babies on Your Purse?” page, before giving them as gifts. The photo of Ginger is so cute on the heart shaped coin purse, I can hardly wait to show it off and gift it! Check back for the photos after this weekend. The Emma bag turned out great. The Dana Totes came out very well with the teens. The Emma bag will be very fun to tote with Tony and Anna holding their surfboards at the beach in Waikiki, HI. The Everything Bag is a total prize to reward my host daughter’s mother, for sharing her daughter, Anna with me for six months. There are still a couple of more items coming. I wonder if I will be able to scan the catalog card to show you all the fun choices.
